In September, I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing 5 alumnae of Bryn Mawr College for the Bryn Mawr Alumnae Bulletin's fall issue. It was the first time that the Bulletin focused on graduates living outside of the northeast, and each has built a fascinating career for herself in the Tucson area. It was fascinating meeting and talking with each of these women when I made their portraits.

Maura Dillon Hauser (top right) is an Arizona assistant attorney general in the Civil Rights Division. Dr. Holli Horak (bottom right) is an expert in neuromuscular diseases who treats patients at Banner Health and directs the neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Mary K. Gilliland (top left) is Vice President of Academic Affairs at Central Arizona College's Coolidge Campus. Sarah Herr (bottom left) is an archaeologist and President of Desert Archaeology, Inc. Robin Reineke (center) is a forensic anthropologist who was a founder of the Missing Migrant Project, a volunteer organization which works to identify the remains of migrants who've died while crossing the border, in order to notify their families and give their remains proper care. She went on to co-found the Colibri Center for Human Rights, which did similar work, and now she is an assistant research social scientist at the University of Arizona’s Southwest Center and an assistant professor in the School of Anthropology.
